Marine Tondelier “definitely intends to continue dancing” despite criticism

Since Sunday, the leader of the environmentalists, Marine Tondelier, has been literally being trashed on social networks after the publication of videos showing her having fun in a wild rock with her counterpart from the Socialist Party, Olivier Faure. And it is neither the technique nor the choice of music (Celine Dion) that are the object of criticism. It is on the timing that the haters are raging. And the national secretary of EELV responds to them that she “intends to continue dancing”.

The scene was filmed during a party at the EELV summer university on Saturday night. It shows, among others, Marine Tondelier and Olivier Faure dancing rock to the sound of “J’irais où tu iras” played on the decks of a DJ wearing a mask bearing the image of Emmanuel Macron. Criticism ranges from the timing of this festive moment on the evening of the attack on the synagogue in La Grande-Motte to the mask worn by the DJ.

“The Popular Front is popular”

On RTL this Monday, Marine Tondelier first wanted to apologize if this dance had “really shocked” some people before putting things into perspective. She is particularly surprised to see people more shocked to see “ministers who dance when they are at a party” than to see “ministers who do not differentiate between the extreme right and the rest of the political forces.”

“I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t take drugs, I don’t even drink coffee… I dance,” she responded. And the leader of the environmentalists emphasized that dancing is “a way of taking the fight to many countries that are much tougher than France.” She points out that “the Popular Front is popular” and finally hammers home that she “intends to continue dancing.”
