???? ASSE’s line-up against Brest with 3 changes

For this third day of the Ligue 1 championship, ASSE travels to Brest to face Mahdi Camara’s team. Qualified for the Champions League, Stade Brestois has the same record as the Verts after two championship matches: two defeats. Which of the two bad pupils of Ligue 1 will succeed in launching their season at the end of this match? In the meantime, here is the starting eleven concocted by Olivier Dall’Oglio.

Stade Brestois has not taken a single point since the start of the season (5-1 defeat against OM and 2-0 defeat against Lens). A situation that is consistent with the record of Stéphanois defeats against Monaco (0-1) and against Le Havre (0-2). In order to avoid a crisis, both teams must win.

Absences

The last week of the transfer window offered its share of movements but no departures were confirmed by the club. Indeed, while many loans were hoped for, several players will remain in Forez. Olivier Dall’Oglio will therefore have to deal with a (too) large group.

Ben Old is the only absentee due to injury. Indeed, the New Zealand international injured his adductor during the match against Le Havre. Also, the two new Saint-Etienne recruits Lucas Stassin and Pierre Ekwah are not yet qualified. They will make their big debut with ASSE against Lille after the international break.

Finally, Mahmoud Bentayg, who is about to leave, is not called up for this match. The Moroccan player can sign for Zamalek until September 30. Thus, he is protected by the club since he is about to leave. A situation that avoids any injury!

Absent against Le Havre, Pierre Cornud is this time on the trip to Brittany. He numerically replaces Marwann Nzuzi. For the rest, the presence and absences are only Olivier Dall’Oglio’s choices.
