“I have no hatred.” Two days after the death of Lilian Dejean, a municipal employee in Grenoble shot dead by a repeat offender, the investigation is progressing while his relatives have gathered to pay tribute to him.
The driver suspected of killing Lilian Dejean has been identified by investigators. He is a 25-year-old man from the suburbs of Grenoble, a repeat offender known for theft, violence and drug trafficking. He is actively sought after of course.
Several tributes were paid to the victim, Lilian, killed by two bullets while trying to prevent a hit and run after an accident. RTL was able to speak with members of his family, including his daughter, Aumanie, who undoubtedly paid him the most beautiful tribute.
“He instilled in us some very good values,” she says. “And unfortunately, he died because of those values. Just the fact of defending his fellow men against injustice, all that… He was a good man, a strong man.”

Lilian Dejean, 49, was the father of two children.He was a good father, Aumanie assures. He was there for everyone. I think that even if he was here today, I don’t think he regretted what he did. I think he would even be very proud of what he did because he would say ‘I died in hero‘.“
On RTL, she repeats her pride. “Proud of my dad, proud of the name I bear.” “I have no hatred,” she adds. “I have none, it’s no use. Hate is not going to make me move forward. The values my father instilled in me, it’s that simple. We’re all going to rise up and we’re going to do it. I love you, Dad.”
