After shining in the pools, Philippe Croizon becomes a star of the cameras. This Sunday, September 1st, the famous disabled swimmer is Bruno Guillon’s guest on his show The good Sunday show. In an excerpt from RTL, the host asks the athlete who has had all four limbs amputated about his tastes in Netflix series. “There are several, but I like science fiction series and then comedy series”replies Philippe Croizon before remembering an amusing anecdote. “There is a series, by the way, I’m in it, that I really liked. In the next season, I’m in it, I don’t know if I have the right to say it”, he adds.
In fact, the athlete appears in season 2 of the series In Placedirected by Jean-Pascal Zadi. In the program, available since Thursday, August 29, he plays the role of the Minister of Sports. When talking about the series, he does not hesitate to reveal one of the jokes of the show. “He (Jean-Pascal Zadi, editor’s note) has a good joke. He arrives, he’s going to say: ‘a Minister of Sports? No, sport, disabled sport?’. I say: ‘no, just sport'”, he says, waving his two amputated arms and letting out a laugh in unison with Bruno Guillon.
Philippe Croizon moved to tears as he recalls the birth of his son
In February 2023, Philippe Croizon was Amandine Bégot’s guest on RTL. That day, the athlete came to promote his book Everything is possible, in which he discusses his journey. On RTL, he talks in particular about his family and friends who helped him find a taste for life again after his accident, but above all about his “two boys”. “This is where I decided to live. When I woke up, you should know that I woke up after two months in a coma. And my little baby was born at the same time as me.”reveals the disabled swimmer. “Gregory came into the world at the same time as me and it was an uncle of my ex-wife who came to see me, because I didn’t want to live […] I had a normal reflex and he said to me: ‘Don’t you think it would be good if you were there to guide your boys on the path of life?’ A sequence full of emotions.
