While it was initially thought that the American manufacturer would take advantage of the IFA in Berlin, which will be held next week, for its next announcements, this will ultimately not be the case. Garmin has already launched a countdown for its next product announcement. A countdown that takes us to this Tuesday, August 27 at 1 p.m.

For now, the information confirmed by Garmin is still thin, but the countdown page refers to a mountain range superimposed behind the manufacturer’s logo. A range that is also reminiscent of the Alpine massif while this week, the Ultra-trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) is taking place in Chamonix, one of the major events dedicated to nature running. Enough to suggest that it should be a sports watch oriented towards the outdoors, trail running or hiking. In other words… a watch from the Garmin Fenix ​​range.

A Fenix ​​8 in the starting blocks

However, for several months now, leaks have been multiplying around a Garmin Fenix ​​8 watch that could be presented at the end of the summer by the manufacturer. This one would notably be entitled to a new Amoled screen — instead of the MIP panel used previously — to a new interface and to the same Elevate Gen 5 sensor as the Garmin Fenix ​​7 Pro.

Some rumors also mention the launch of two other sports watches expected from Garmin. First, a Garmin Fenix ​​E, which would take a MIP panel and the Elevate Gen 4 sensor from the Fenix ​​7, but also a new Garmin Enduro 3, equipped with a great autonomy.

It is not yet known what the specific new features of these models will be and at what prices they will be offered. We should therefore know more this Tuesday, at 1 p.m. Paris time.
