Jegou-Auradou case: alleged gang rape victim allegedly attempted suicide, according to her lawyers: News

An alleged victim of gang rape, kidnapping and violence, the Argentinian woman, plaintiff in the case of French rugby players Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou, allegedly tried to end her life according to her lawyers.

Accused of gang rape by an Argentinian woman on the sidelines of a French XV match, rugby players Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou were apparently on the verge of obtaining a dismissal in their trial. According to the plaintiff’s lawyer, the latter allegedly attempted suicide, reports BFMTV.

“They ruined my life.” In a heartbreaking farewell letter relayed by the Argentinian press, Soledad, her first name, explains the reasons for her suicide attempt by pointing out the acts of defamation committed against her by the two rugby players.

“I believed in justice”

“Because I believed in Justice, I was encouraged to denounce but today I am under psychological pressure that I would never have imagined, it has taken away my will to live”she writes. She then continues, and targets the accused: “I hope they can sleep peacefully looking at the faces of their wives, daughters and granddaughters. They have ruined my life. They have mercilessly manipulated the press so that it will lead to social condemnation against me.”

According to her lawyer Natacho Romanon, interviewed by the media Canal El Nueve, this would be her second attempt, as relayed by Le Parisien. She would also be subject to “stomach problems”, quotes his other lawyer Mauricio Cardello.
