San Marino GP: Bagnaia takes pole position

This Saturday, the Italian Francesco Bagnaia, reigning world champion, took pole position for the MotoGP Grand Prix of San Marino.

Quartararo tenth, Zarco sixteenth

The current leader of the MotoGP world championship standings, Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati-Pramac), will start in fourth position, ahead of one of his compatriots, Pedro Acosta, in fifth. Star Marc Marquez, who won his first Grand Prix in three years in Aragon last weekend, will only start ninth. For his part, Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) will start from tenth position, after achieving his best qualifying since the French Grand Prix last May. Finally, his compatriot Johann Zarco, riding his Honda-LCR, will start from sixteenth place.
