French fighter Matthieu Letho Duclos will attempt to secure a UFC contract tonight, facing Marco Tulio at the Dana White Contenders Series.

A new Frenchman in the UFC? Tonight, the MMA fighter, coached by the Daniel Woirin team, will have the opportunity to show his fighting skills to Dana White. To do this, the French athlete, who validated his weigh-in yesterday at 83.9 kg, will face Marco Tulio, a Brazilian determined to join the UFC.

With a record of 6 wins and 2 losses, Matthieu Letho Duclos started his professional career in 2019, at 100% Fight. Synonymous with nightmares for fighters, the Frenchman suffered a defeat by submission here, for his first MMA fight, against Wissem Akhmouch (6-1). Not having said his last word, Matthieu launched himself into the FFAC organization two years later, in order to fight Louis Laurent (5-2). Eager to wash away his last failure, the Frenchman emerged victorious from his fight by unanimous decision. He then followed up with a victory by TKO against Mathias Rieucros a few months later.

Matthieu Letho Duclos in good dynamics

If Matthieu suffered a terrible setback at Bellator 280, against Youcef Ouabbas (3-1), losing by TKO, the Frenchman has not suffered a single defeat since. In 2022, the latter decided to join France. With the UFC in the back of his mind, the French fighter was the storyteller of a magnificent journey.

In two years, Duclos has won 4 consecutive victories, with 100% finishes by TKO. As a highlight, the Frenchman notably won the French belt, against Alexis Fontes (5-4) who suffered an eye injury. Benefiting from a meteoric rise, the latter now participates in Karate Bushido YouTube videos.

Coached by Daniel Woirin, Matthieu was able to obtain a contract at the Dana White Contender Series. Now, his goal is to make a good impression in front of the UFC CEO, in order to obtain a contract in this prestigious organization. In addition, the latter notably shared his expectations for the event. On the other hand, his opponent, Marco Tulio, who has 11 wins for only one defeat, is no easy feat. Will he manage to win against this opponent and obtain a contract? We will find out tonight. As for our other French fighters, we will have to wait for UFC Paris.
