“Les Grandes Gueules” separates from columnist Mehdi Ghezzar after “unacceptable remarks”

The remarks that led to Mehdi Ghezzar’s dismissal were broadcast this Sunday, August 25, on the Algerian channel AL24 news. We can hear the now former columnist of “Les Grandes Gueules” criticizing the Moroccan government. He mentions the conflict between Israel and Hamas, deploring the fact that “The Moroccan people do not have the right to demonstrate their discontent, their solidarity with the people of Gaza, by royal decree”.

The AL24 News presenter then names the Moroccan king’s advisor, André Azoulay, as the author of this decree. Wrongly, he then claims that the advisor would have Israeli nationality, and Mehdi Ghezzar agrees. André Azoulay is in fact Moroccan, of Moroccan Jewish origin.

The former columnist for “Les Grandes Gueules” then refers to the Moroccan government as a “rogue state”, “a country that feeds on Zionist flies of continuous disinformation through social networks, the Internet, press units”.
