Call for caution

The heavy accumulations have led to “the closure of the roads between Bonneval and Bessans, between Termignon and Lanslebourg and between Frénay and Orelle”according to Rodrigue Veyrat, road manager at the Maurienne Technical Center. “Roads closed as a precaution so as not to create a risk to the safety of motorists”he specifies.

“The operational resources of the State, the Departmental Council and the firefighters of the Savoie Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) are mobilized to ensure the safety of people and property in sensitive areas, in conjunction with the municipalities”, indicated the Savoie prefecture in a press release.
