Deryck Whibley, frontman de Sum 41had caused a stir last week by reporting an announcement on the same day as the end of the countdown of Linkin Park. Without further ado, the web was set alight, seeing him take the place of the late Chester Bennington in the LP. The interested party had denied the rumors of joining the Californians on vocals and had therefore decided to postpone his announcement.
