Alongside his compatriot Hector Denayer, bronze medalist, Ugo Didier took second place in the 200m medley final this Thursday evening. His third after silver in the 100m backstroke and gold in the 400m freestyle.

Here are two new medals for France. This Thursday, in the 200m medley, Ugo Didier and Hector Denayer ran a full race to win a medal in this final and complete the podium behind the Australian Timothy Hodge (2″13’31).

Ugo Didier, the swimmer from the Cugnaux swimming club, thus won his third Olympic medal in these Games after silver in the 100m backstroke and gold in the 400m freestyle. The day before, Lucas, his little brother, had also secured a medal in para-table tennis by qualifying for the semi-finals.

“It’s beautiful because 2″15 is my best time. I knew that in front, there was a bit of a high step to go for. In any case, I was lucky enough to make a Paralympic podium. Hector too… But sharing one, I think it’s going to be a unique moment” confided Ugo Didier after the race.
