The Prince’s Palace of Monaco was the setting, this Monday, for the swearing-in of the new head of government before Prince Albert II. Who was not only accompanied by his wife Princess Charlene for this political event, but also by their twins.

Back to school time has come this Monday, September 2, 2024 for Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco. Not that of school, where they will not return until Monday 9, like the other students of the Principality.

The swearing-in of the new Minister of State in the Salon des Glaces

It was with an important political event that the twins of the Rock reappeared in front of the lens of the Palace photographer. The young heir to the Monegasque throne and his sister – who had been seen at the Paris Olympics – attended, at the age of 9 and a half, the swearing-in of Didier Guillaume before their father Prince Albert II. Aged 65, this former socialist senator, who was Emmanuel Macron’s Minister of Agriculture from 2018 to 2020, was appointed Minister of State (the head of government) of Monaco by sovereign order on July 4.

The ceremony took place in the Salon des Glaces of the Prince’s Palace, in the presence of Princess Charlene and her children. Also present were the Secretary of State, members of the government and the princely cabinet, as well as the wife of Didier Guillaume.

Gabriella and Jacques very elegant at the Palace

While Princess Charlene wore a sky blue jacket paired with a blouse of the same tone and cream trousers for the occasion – three pieces from the Italian brand Kiton – her daughter was dressed in a navy dress with short sleeves and a Peter Pan collar by Ralph Lauren.

Little Princess Gabriella completed her look with white ballet flats and a delicate headband covered in white pearls. Also very elegant, Prince Jacques appeared in light grey trousers and a navy blazer worn with a white shirt and a blue tie with a white pattern.

Prince Albert II handed over his roadmap to Didier Guillaume

At the end of the oath-taking, Prince Albert II, who had received him in audience just before, handed over his roadmap to Didier Guillaume.

By this document, he instructs him to continue the energy transition and implementing a “renaturation” of the city, rethinking urban planning and mobility, adapting public security policies to future challenges and economic and budgetary policy to future public finance issues, and cstrengthen Monaco’s position internationally on major issues.
