During a trip to Bath on Tuesday, Queen Camilla gave reassuring news of her husband, weakened by cancer.

On February 5, Buckingham Palace announced that Charles III had a “form of cancer.” While the nature of the cancer has never been specified, it is not believed to be related to the benign operation the king had undergone for an enlarged prostate a week earlier. However, according to the Buckingham Palace statement, it was during this operation that “another cause for concern arose.”[vait] “was noticed.” “Subsequent tests established a form of cancer,” we learned at the time.

Since then, little has been known about the King of England’s health. His engagements were canceled for a while before resuming in earnest. In recent days, Charles has even made a number of appearances. He was first seen on August 19 at a ceremony at Balmoral and then, the next day, in Southport, a town in the north of England recently in mourning after the murder of three young children. A trip followed by a stay in London, where Charles met the families of the victims at his residence at Clarence House. In London, the father of Princes William and Harry reportedly took the opportunity to receive treatment for his cancer before returning to Balmoral by helicopter and enjoying a few days of rest.

“He lost a lot of weight”

However, Charles III’s drawn features did not fail to intrigue the British. And according to press indiscretions, the sovereign’s busy schedule would worry his wife first and foremost. On a trip to Bath on Tuesday, September 3, Queen Camilla nevertheless wanted to be reassuring. After inaugurating the new Dyson cancer center, the latter would have shared news on Charles’ state of health with Suzy Moon, collaborator of Macmillan Cancer Support. “Yes, he is doing very well,” she affirmed, as reported by The Sun .

That said, Camilla reportedly believes Charles needs to slow down to preserve his health, especially as his tour of Australia approaches. “Camilla wants him to slow down, she’s afraid he’s working too hard,” a source close to the Queen told Daily Beast . Another source told the same tabloid: “I think there’s been a lot of positive stuff about the king doing well, getting back to work and so on. But you know, he’s got cancer. He’s not doing well. To me, he looked frail in Southport on Tuesday. You only have to look at the pictures today compared to a year ago to see that and it’s obvious: he’s lost a lot of weight and aged considerably. Camilla told him to take a break, but he’s a workaholic, he doesn’t listen.”

Still according to the Daily Beastother sources close to the royal family are said to share this concern about Charles III’s excessive pace, noting that the king appears to have aged and lost weight over the past year. For now, Buckingham Palace’s silence on the matter leaves uncertainty about the future.
