Nearly two months after the legislative elections, Emmanuel Macron’s decisions are being analyzed from all sides. Former Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, guest of La Grande interview Europe 1-CNews this Wednesday, judges that the head of state made an irrational decision last June.

50 days after the legislative elections, no personality has yet been appointed by the President of the Republic to Matignon. But how long will it take Emmanuel Macron to find a new Prime Minister?

Some political figures do not hesitate to give their name to occupy this position and others analyze the decisions of the president, in particular the dissolution of the National Assembly, like Jean-Michel Blanquer, guest of La Grande interview Europe 1-CNews Tuesday. According to him, it is an “irrational decision”.

“Emmanuel Macron succeeds in the most difficult things and fails in the easiest ones”

The former Minister of National Education admitted to Europe 1 that he expected the National Assembly to be dissolved. “On the other hand, I imagined it around September or October, after the Olympic Games and especially as the consequence of a possible conflict in a possible impasse between the legislative and executive powers. When there is a situation of this kind, dissolution is a normal tool of the Constitution. But dissolving on election night is something unnatural,” explains Jean-Michel Blanquer.

He even goes on to analyze the president. “Emmanuel Macron succeeds in the most difficult things and he fails in the easiest ones,” tackles the former Minister of National Education on La Grande interview Europe 1-CNews. “Often, he does things that can be very successful and which will be ruined by too many little things. For example, he will give you a very good speech and then it will last too long. He has that tendency. And the remedy for that is to work more collectively. We all have qualities,” he advises Macron.
