Forty years after the events and the discovery of the little boy bound hand and foot in the Vologne, the Gregory case continues to make headlines. This murder, which has never been solved, even thanks to the most modern techniques of recent years, continues to interest publishing, television and platforms including Netflix. In a comic strip to be published on October 3 by Les Arènes, the child’s father, Jean-Marie Villemin, breaks the silence he has observed since his son’s disappearance. Information revealed this Tuesdayby our colleagues at RTL.

The comic book, which he co-wrote, is signed by Patrice Perna, and illustrated by Christophe Gaultier. In this work, the child’s father evokes in particular his 1993 trial for themurder of Bernard Laroche the happy memories with his son and the trips back and forth between the court and his prison cell. Les éditions des Arènes had already published a reference work in 2016, The Bonfire of the Innocents signed by a former Europe 1 journalist, Laurence Lacour.

In the frame forty years of this news item which has greatly influenced the Vosges people and the department, many works are in preparation. Another comic strip, signed by Beatrice Merdignac Tristan Houllemare and the cartoonist Grégory Lê is also due to be released on October 2nd by Petit à petit BD. The aim of this docu-BD, titled The Raven which was not done in collaboration with the family, is to understand this complicated story which still fascinates, and always.

The body of little Gregory Villemin was discovered on October 16, 1984. The little boy’s parents never gave up and today trust in new technologies to find the murderer. On March 20, the Dijon Court of Appeal ordered new expertise at the request of the parents in order to try to finally find an answer.
