Koh-Lanta, the cursed tribe has been in full swing on TF1 since August 20, 2024 and there will be changes on the council side in the next episodes, as was revealed during the program’s press conference.
Since August 20, 2024, Koh-Lanta made its big comeback on TF1 with a new edition called The Cursed Tribe. In addition to the reds and yellows, 4 adventurers are stuck on a cursed, austere and dark island. To re-enter the game, they just need to find an Anito (a typical statuette from the Philippines) to be able to challenge a yellow or red candidate, whose team failed in a comfort test. For the moment, only Ilyesse has succeeded in this feat, thus sending Emmanuelle to her place in the cursed tribe. At the council, Cécile failed to convince the yellows in the first episode and had to leave the program, as did Ari, on August 27, 2024, who after a little betrayal by Alexandre, said goodbye to the members of the Pitogo.
“Rationality will come after emotion”
If for the moment, the atmosphere is quite cordial between the castaways, everything should change quickly, as Corinne Vaillant, project manager and co-director of the show and Denis Brogniart, made known during the press conference. “Rationality will come after emotion. There will be votes in the council that are completely astonishing because they are contrary to the very interest of the people who vote (…) Really, they will put forward their feelings,” revealed Corinne Vaillant before specifying that This will impact the advice, which will be slightly modified for this edition: “It was our big surprise this year, to be honest with you, Denis and I had to change the way we do the councils because there are going to be a series of surprises in the votes. (…) So we come back to the council after the council.”
Explanations after the advice
Denis Brogniart validated his remarks and added: “As there will be surprises very frequently, some people will really fall out of the closet when they leave. (…) After the vote, there will be a bit of explanation and feedback to better understand and to try to shed some light on the choices of some and others.” This promises to be interesting!
