In a post on X, Pierre-Henri Dumont, former MP for Pas-de-Calais, sent his thoughts “to the loved ones of the victims of this new tragedy in the Channel”.
“For many months, we, local elected officials, have been alerting the authorities. How many more deaths will it take to finally act, save lives and restore peace to the residents?” he asks.
