Heavy rains in the Nice region

The rains that hit the area of ​​the capital of the Côte d’Azur are heading towards the sea at the end of the day. Before that, storms have made their mark inland, for example in Le Tignet, Tourrettes-sur-Loup or Le Cannet, where significant thunder was heard.

“We passed from summer to fall in five minutes!” even wonders Lucciana, a woman from the Côte d’Azur, posting an astonishing video where violent hailstorms seem to occur.

In the department, rain and storms will also be present, again according to Météo France forecasts, during the majority of the week, at varying intensities.

The Alpes-Maritimes department was placed on yellow alert for thunderstorms on Monday, September 2. This will still be the case tomorrow, Tuesday, between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m.
