A new Royal Baby is on the way at the Swedish Court. Already parents of three boys, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are expecting their fourth child.
No one expected it. Already parents of three princes – Alexander, Gabriel and Julian – Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Princess Sofia seemed very happy with their little family. And we didn’t imagine that they would still be thinking about expanding it.
Birth expected in February 2025
Especially since the young woman, who will celebrate her 40th birthday in December, did not let anything show about a future pregnancy just two days ago. Invited this Saturday, August 31, to the wedding of Princess Märtha Louise of Norway and her fiancé, the Californian shaman Durek Verrett, with her husband, but also her sister-in-law Princess Victoria and her brother-in-law Prince Daniel, Sofia had worn her orange and white dress by Lilli Jahilo, tightened at the waist with a wide belt.

And yet, the happy news came this Monday, September 2, 2024. The Swedish Court announced that the couple was expecting their fourth child. Which will be the ninth grandchild of the sovereign of Sweden and his wife. A birth expected for February 2025.
It is added that “Princess Sofia is doing well.” And that consequently, no changes are envisaged in her official program this fall.

Currently fourth in line to the Swedish throne after his sister Crown Princess Victoria and her two children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, Prince Carl Philip married Sofia Hellqvist, a former Swedish reality TV starlet, on June 13, 2015.
A little brother or sister for Alexander, Gabriel and Julian
Having become Princess Sofia, Duchess of Värmland through her marriage, she gave him their first child, Prince Alexander, less than a year later, on April 19, 2016. She then gave birth to two more boys, Gabriel, on August 31, 2017, and Julian, on March 26, 2021.
Three adorable princes who will soon welcome another little brother into their family. Unless this time it’s a little sister.
