Several houses were threatened in Chenanches and the inhabitants had started to fight themselves against the flames which were climbing the hill and getting dangerously close to the houses before being evacuated. Subsequently, the entire subdivision was saved thanks to the action of the firefighters.

The intervention of a GIFF (forest fire intervention group) made it possible to contain the flames on the Grangevalat road. The fire covered a little over two hectares, mainly dry grass and brushwood and some shrubs. The group included firefighters from the barracks of Monistrol, Bas-en-Basset, Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon, Sainte-Sigolène and Saint-Pal-de-Mons.
