The resident protection zone (restricted area) in the Waldstrassenviertel will be set up from 12:30 p.m. until the start of the game at 3:30 p.m. To speed up public transport and reduce private traffic in the area around the stadium, Ranstädter Steinweg and Jahnallee between Tröndlinring and Waldplatz will also be closed in the direction out of town. In addition, the resident protection zone will be extended from Leibnizstrasse to Jacobstrasse and an entry point (checkpoint) for residents, taxis and delivery vehicles will be set up at the Humboldtstrasse/Jacobstrasse junction.

Access to the checkpoint via Jacobstrasse from Emil-Fuchs-Str. is not possible. Exit to the south is via Waldstrasse at Waldplatz or to the north via Waldstrasse/Zöllnerweg or Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse to Jahnallee. Authorized persons can enter the western Waldstrasse district via a checkpoint on Goyastrasse/Waldstrasse with access via Am Sportforum/Goyastrasse. Cyclists can enter the restricted area where the additional sign “cyclists permitted” is displayed.

Recommendation Park-and-Ride and public transport

Due to the traffic restrictions and the limited parking options in the area around the stadium, visitors arriving by car are strongly advised to use the signposted park-and-ride parking lots “Neue Messe”, “Schönauer Ring”, “Plovdiver Straße”, “Lausen” and “Völkerschlachtdenkmal”. Digital display boards on the ring road indicate P+R parking lots. RB Leipzig has guarded parking spaces on the festival grounds for those arriving by bike.

The public order office recommends using the local public transport services. The Leipzig public transport company is increasing its services to ensure a quick arrival and departure. The Red Bull Arena can be reached from all parts of the city using public transport via the following stops: Sportforum Süd (lines 3, 7, 8, 15 and 56), Waldplatz (lines 3, 4, 7, 8, 15, 51, 54 and 56), Sportforum Ost (lines 4, 51 and 54) and Marschnerstraße (lines 1, 2 and 14).

Due to the resident protection zone (restricted area) in the Waldstrassenviertel, the SEV4 (rail replacement service due to the Menckestrasse construction work) will only run to or from the Menckestrasse replacement stop (in Schlößchenweg) during the event period. The Stallbaumstrasse, Am Mückenschlösschen and Feuerbachstrasse stops cannot be served.

The Leipzig public transport company publishes the timetable on the website www.l.de/anreise-rbleipzig.
