Not requiring any special security measures, during this festive period, the roussataïo bring welcome entertainment to neighborhoods far from the city center.
Rooted in the Camargue tradition, the roussataïo brings an original note with the parade of mares and their foals supervised as it should be by the herdsmen. A sort of abrivado or bandido without the bulls which allows you to appreciate the spectacle of the parade in peace. At the beginning of this week of celebration, a first roussataïo with horses and riders enlivened the Avenue de Camargue with departure in front of the bar “Amen Donné” and arrival at the arenas. Last Wednesday, it was the turn of the Puig manade to present a large herd on the long journey which brought herdsmen and horses from Aigues-Marines to the arenas at the opening of a friendly and very applauded abrivado of the 100 wheels which gave pride of place to the participation of the residents of the Graulen establishment.
In no way competing with other bullfighting events, the roussataïo were a great success with an audience captivated by this less fleeting spectacle, just as rich in contained emotions.
