Michel Blanc is no more. Suddenly deceased on the night of Thursday October 3 to Friday October 4, the 72-year-old actor succumbed to a heart attack following an allergy to a medication which led to anaphylactic shock and Quincke’s edema. A week later, this Thursday, October 10, his funeral took place. Surrounded, for the last time, by his partner Ramatoulaye Diop, his relatives and all his friends – including the members of the Splendid troupe, which he co-created in 1974 – Michel Blanc was buried in the Père Lachaise, in Paris, after a ceremony open to the public in the Saint-Eustache Church, located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, which the actor regularly attended.
