The 2024 edition of Run in will take place this Sunday, October 6, with traffic disruptions expected.

More than 30,000 runners are expected in the streets of Lyon this Sunday. The departure will be in front of the Palais de Justice in Old Lyon, arriving on Place Bellecour.

Participants will pass by the quays of the Saône, the Paul Bocuse bridge, the Place des Terreaux, the quays of the Rhône, the Cité Internationale, the Tête d’Or park, the Gerland park and even Confluence.

Traffic and parking restrictions are therefore to be expected in these areas. A detailed plan has been published for Sunday on the Run in Lyon website, in order to avoid getting stuck.

Disturbances in TCL

Overall, it is advisable to favor travel on foot or by public transport.

The TCLs are also adapting their network for the event, with a reinforcement of the metros. Several bus lines will be diverted until 5 p.m..

If you come by bikeplease note that a large capacity temporary station will be available on Place Bellecour:

– Friday October 4 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
– Saturday October 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
– Sunday October 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
