faced with the cancer of Charles III, the son of Camilla Parker Bowles gives his news

Tom Parker Bowles, the eldest son of Queen Camilla, spoke about the state of health of his mother but also of the British king who continues his treatment against cancer.

Since Kate Middleton announced the end of her chemotherapy on September 9, so many eyes have been on her that we almost forgot that King Charles III is still struggling with the disease. On February 5, a week after his release from hospital where he had prostate surgery, Buckingham Palace announced that the king was suffering from cancer. The type and stage of the patient remain unknown to this day, but we know that the sovereign is undergoing outpatient chemotherapy treatment, meaning that he does not need to be hospitalized to receive his treatment.

Little news has come from the Palace, but so far the monarch appears to be in good health. As proof, he even resumed his activities in April. But between his few appearances where he seems happier than ever to be active again, and the attention generated by his daughter-in-law’s illness, time has passed since the last news of his health. A lack which his son-in-law, Tom Parker Bowles, recently remedied.

A royal form

Camilla Parker Bowles’ son is currently promoting his upcoming book, Cooking and the Crown: Royal Recipes from Queen Victoria to King Charles III. In French, the book is called Crown recipes. On September 5, Queen Camilla even accompanied him to the evening organized for the launch of his cookbook, during an event organized in London.

On the occasion of the promotion of his work, Tom Parker Bowles, gave news of the king during an interview granted to Daily Express saying his “treatment is going well.” And the queen in all this? “She is strong, my mother,” he said. If the upcoming official trips of the sovereign and his wife are to be believed, their state of health indeed seems solid. The monarchs, aged 75 and 77 respectively, have planned an Autumn tour next month. They are due to arrive in Australia on October 18, then travel to Samoa six days later for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), before returning to the UK on October 26.

LISTEN TO SCANDALS

In an interview given to Point of view Tom Parker Bowles also spoke about the atmosphere of family dinners. “We argue, we hug, we talk loudly from one end to the other of the table filled with good wine and good food,” he says. According to the 49-year-old food critic, these moments ultimately resemble meals for any family. “I talk with my father-in-law Charles, and my sister and her husband chat with my mother for example, like ordinary children who find their parents to take stock of their lives,” he added.
