Biden announces new military aid with long-range munitions

Joe Biden pledged Thursday that Russia would “not win” the war in Ukraine, during a visit by Volodymyr Zelensky to the White House.

“Russia will not win,” launched the American leader from the Oval Office, 39 days before the American presidential election which promises to be extremely close, and on which the future of support for kyiv depends.

A close aide to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban found himself in turmoil on Thursday after suggesting the central European country would not have defended itself against a Russian invasion, criticizing Ukraine’s response. “Nine minors and one adult will be reunited with their families in Ukraine,” a Qatari official announced to AFP, specifying that “four minors” would be reunited with their families in Russia. According to the same source, the nine Ukrainian children are aged between 12 and 17, while the Russian children are between two and seven years old.

All will be welcomed at the Qatari embassy in Moscow before reunification with their families.
