End of Unitad’s mandate in Iraq: why do the Yazidis still feel forgotten?

Ten years after the genocide of the Yazidis by the Islamic State group, the UN mission, UNITAD, charged with investigating war crimes in Iraq, has ended, leaving a deep sense of abandonment among this community. In this episode, we speak with Marie-Charlotte Roupie, RFI correspondent in Baghdad, who has just returned from reporting in Sinjar. She talks to us about the Yazidis’ ongoing challenges, the lack of justice and reconciliation, and shares her experience on the ground.
