Meung-sur-Loire. 13TH bridge festival. The municipalities of Cléry-Saint-André and Meung-sur-Loire are organizing their thirteenth Bridge Festival this weekend: the theme this year is Liberation.

Today. For the Bike Escapes with the tourist office, meet at 9 am at the end of the bridge. From 9 am, you can also discover vintage cars and motorcycles at the Captaincy, not forgetting the second-hand parts exchange.

On the theme of the Liberation, a camp of American soldiers and resistance fighters will be set up from 10 a.m. Vehicles from before 1945 that have already registered will be able to take part in the Route des Maquisards, a walk that will start at 10 a.m.

At 11:30 a.m., reception. From 3 to 4 p.m., members of the Cléry sound and light show will introduce fans to the dances of the 1940s.

At 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., there will be baptisms in old cars in the city center and on the bridge, followed by a quiz with prizes to be won. This will then give way to official speeches at 5 p.m. A guinguette evening, starting at 7:30 p.m., will close the day.

Tomorrow. The American military and resistance camps will still be there from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. At 10:30 a.m., pre-war vehicles will take the Route du Souvenir, between Meung and Bardon.
