Terrible head-on collision towards 6h30Friday August 30, 2024, in the north of Gardat the exit of the town of Lasalle. Two cars collided. Three men aged 25 to 30 died instantly.

Asked by Actu.fr, the Gard firefighters draw up an initial assessment of this terrible morning accident.
“The collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. on the D57 between two cars. It’s a choc frontal“, begins the fire chief.
3 dead among the 5 occupants
In one of the vehicles, the driver, aged 48, was alone on board. Injured, he was evacuated to the emergency room of the Alès hospital centre. His life is not in danger.
In the other vehicle, the toll is dramatic. “There were five people in the other car. All are aged 24 to 30 years old . The car rolled over a lot after the impact. Among the five occupants, three diedon the spot. When we arrived on the scene, they were stuck, still incarcerated in the car,” the firefighter explained.
“The two other passengers survived. They were injured and were evacuated by ambulance to the emergency room of the Carémeau hospital in Nîmes,” concludes the head of the Gard Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS).
