Having spent time at Manchester United before enjoying a decade at Crystal Palace, the 31-year-old striker opted for a challenge in Turkey by joining Galatasaray last summer. There, the Ivorian international (30 caps) took part in 43 matches for a total of ten goals and five assists while winning the Süper Lig (Turkish D1) with Okan Buruk’s team.

Playing mainly on the wings, the 31-year-old is capable of playing in the centre. By arriving at OL, he will bring his experience to a Lyon team that greatly needs it and whose leaders, like Alexandre Lacazette, are struggling to respond at the moment. Note that Galatasaray will take almost the entirety of the player’s salary. At the same time, this arrival of Wilfried Zaha should facilitate the departure of Ernest Nuamah, valued at 30 million euros and highly sought after in England, notably by Everton and Nottingham Forest.
