Didier Deschamps made an unexpected return on Saturday, two days before the clash between the French team and Belgium.

The atmosphere is not cheerful in the French team at the moment. A glacial climate due in particular to the defeat of the Blues against Italy in the Nations League, Friday. However, Didier Deschamps’ men intend to get back on track on Monday during the duel against Belgium. And the French coach, precisely, will be able to count on an unexpected reinforcement against the Red Devils.

Didier Deschamps’ bad patch

The French team was surprised when it entered the Nations League this season. Facing Italy on Friday, the Blues suffered a bitter defeat at home against a team that has been lacking in benchmarks in recent months (1-3). But Didier Deschamps’ men are not yet at the end of their troubles two days before a new shock against Belgium.

While he was unable to count on all his players against the Nazionale, the French coach will also be without Warren Zaire-Emery on Monday. Injured against Italy, the French international is already out of the match against the Red Devils. Conversely, one player will make his return to the squad.

Randal Kolo Muani is back with the Blues

A starter against Italy, Antoine Griezmann was well on his way to starting on the bench. Which notably confirmed his decline in status since Euro 2024. But the vice-captain of Les Bleus was finally given a starting role due to the unavailability of Randal Kolo Muani at the last minute.
