Early this morning, Lucas Mazur takes to the track in para badminton, with a mixed doubles event planned. He won gold in Tokyo in the SL4 category. You should also not miss the debuts of goalball and boccia, two 100% Paralympic disciplines. Boccia, which is similar to pétanque, will launch its Games individually with a group stage at the Arena Paris Sud 1 at Porte de Versailles. At the same location, goalball will have already started. This sport is reserved for the visually impaired. There are many goals.

The first French could well be brought by Marie Patouillet in para cycling on the track. The Frenchwoman is entered in the 500m C4-C5 time trial.

At the end of the afternoon, it’s time for the group stage of wheelchair rugby. We will follow Ryadh Sallem, the guide of the Blues. The 53-year-old will experience his 6e edition of the Paralympic Games. He has played three (Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004) in wheelchair basketball, the next three (London 2012, Rio 2016 and Paris 2024) in wheelchair rugby.

Finally, in the evening, all eyes will be on Alex Portal, on his way to gold in para-swimming.
