SA: What is your first automotive memory?
It's watching all the F1 grand prix on television with my father and grandfather on Sundays. I must have been 3 or 4 years old. It was the time of the Prost-Senna duel. We were more for Senna. My grandfather and my father practiced karting for a long time. My uncle too. He is always a preparer.
My father tried to make a career as a driver, but he stopped in Formula Ford. He then created his stable. My grandfather continued as a mechanic and engine preparer. He was Nico Rosberg's mechanic when he won the French championship.
I grew up on the circuits accompanying my father, my uncle or my grandfather. I got a kart when I was 4 years old. I started racing in Karting myself and getting results.
Did you immediately plan to get into motorsport?
Yes, right away, my dream was to race in Formula 1. I moved to Formula Campus in 2006. I was champion, but barely! It was very hot with Tristan Vautier. We were tied and were decided by the number of victories.
