What happens to your donations to the Haute- Cancer League?

The board of directors of the League Against Cancer 43 decides each year in December the sums to be allocated to its missions for the following year. Here are the amounts allocated for 2025 in Haute-.

The Committee does not receive any state funding. To act effectively and independently, it depends on human commitment and the generosity of the public. Donations, contributions, death quests, events, legacies, etc. constitute the majority of the association's sources of financing which make it possible to finance the league's missions.

A key player in cancer research, the League invests in research projects that advance prevention, screening, treatments and all disease management systems, the Haute-Loire committee finances each year research projects at regional and national level. For 2025, this represents €62,500.

The League is the leading independent financier of cancer research. It helps departmental hospital services to equip themselves with diagnostic or treatment equipment. €91,200 will be allocated to the Emile-Roux du Puy-en-Velay, Jacques-Barrot d'Yssingeaux, Brioude, Bon Secours and Ceyrat hospitals (oncology department where patients from the department are also treated).

If cancer has repercussions on the physical and moral health of patients, it can also have serious consequences on the financial health of a family. The financial aid granted in 2024 was €18,963, or 45 families in Haute-Loire helped.
