Jack Doohan is set to contest the 2025 Formula 1 season with Alpine. And for the 24 Grand Prix on the calendar, we know what the Australian driver should receive in salary.
For the moment, Jack Doohan still occupies the position of starting driver within the Alpine F1 team for the 2025 season. For the moment because the French team has obtained the signing of Franco Colapinto for 5 years for the sum of 20 million dollars from Williams. When you pay such a sum to sign a driver, it is not to leave him as a test driver or reserve… Jack Doohan will therefore be under great pressure from the pre-season tests, if he makes it that far. there and even more for the first Grand Prix of the championship scheduled for mid-March in Australia. If he doesn't score points quickly, Flavio Briatore will not hesitate to eject him in favor of the Argentine driver. Especially since the latter comes with many financial partners.
One of the lowest salaries in the paddock
Still, at the time of writing, Jack Doohan is still Pierre Gasly's teammate at Alpine. And the Business Book GP site reveals the salary scale for Formula 1 drivers for this 2025 championship. A championship that is expected to be particularly open. Unsurprisingly, this ranking is dominated by three world champions: Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso. To find the son of the MotoGP legend in this ranking, you have to go all the way to the bottom. Indeed, Jack Doohan should earn 1.2 million euros in 2025. That is as much as two other beginners, the Frenchman from Racing Bulls Isack Hadjar and the Brazilian from Sauber Gabriel Bortoleto.
A salary almost 10 times higher for Pierre Gasly
Jack Doohan's teammate at Alpine, Pierre Gasly, should earn almost 10 times more this season. His salary, excluding bonus, is estimated at 10 million euros. That is roughly the same thing as in 2024. It may increase depending on the results obtained. Hoping that Alpine starts the championship in the same form as it concluded last December in Abu Dhabi.
