The very exclusive Bolide, whose production will be limited to only 40 examples, was developed specifically for use on the circuit. All the elements that make it up have been designed with the sole aim of making it as efficient as possible.
The result: a hypercar that looks like an LMH prototype, equipped with slick aerodynamics and a power output of 1,600 hp, capable according to Bugatti of completing a lap of the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit (13.6 km) in just 3 minutes and 8 seconds.
A program that one of the buyers of the Bolide wanted to put to the test very recently, during a test session organized on the 5,513 km Circuit of the Americas (COTA), the scene of the Grand Prix in particular. of the United States Formula 1.
A peak of 333 km/h on a wet track
The vehicle on track was finished in the iconic “French Racing Blue” color enhanced with “Nocturne” and “Nocturne Black Carbon” touches on the lower parts of the car. A two-tone design inspired in particular by the legendary Type 35, the most successful racing car in history. The model's interior combines “French Racing Blue” with “Beluga Black Alcantara”, all highlighted by polished aluminum accents. A personalized track plate engraved with the name “Equipe Curtis” is a nod to the name of Ettore Bugatti’s team in motor racing: “Equipe Bugatti”.
Bugatti took charge of this running and organized each stage of this intense day. After two warm-up laps, the wheel of the Bolide was handed over to the owner who was able to complete 12 laps of the track. Despite persistent rain, the customer was able to gauge the capabilities of the Bolide, notably achieving a peak of 333 km/h.

The 40 Bugatti Bolides promised for production should be delivered to their owners before the end of this year.
