Several men arrested during an anti-delinquency operation in -Atlantique

On Friday January 10, 2025 in the evening, the Pornic gendarmerie company carried out a large-scale anti-delinquency operation in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins (-Atlantique), mobilizing 25 soldiersincluding a dog handler, in collaboration with the municipal police.

This initiative aimed to strengthen security in the region and combat criminal behavior.

To facilitate checks, all traffic coming from the north of the Loire via the Saint-Nazaire bridge was diverted, with the support of the Departmental Council's Roads Department. This operation made it possible to carry out several arrests.

Suspected of drug trafficking

Among the highlights, a man was arrested in possession of 35 grams of cannabis resin.

Suspected of delivering narcotics in the country of Retz, he was taken into custody for drug trafficking and will be summoned before the Saint-Nazaire judicial court on May 22, 2025.

Furthermore, being in an irregular situation, he was transferred to administrative detention center of Olivet, with a view to his expulsion.

Under house arrest

Another individual, also in an irregular situation, was placed in administrative detention and under house arrest in Saint-Nazaire while awaiting his expulsion.

A third man, a repeat offender for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, was arrested with around fifteen grams of cannabis resin.

He was placed in police custody and will be summoned for a appearance on prior admission of guilt (CRPC). His driver's license was suspended and his vehicle was impounded for confiscation.

In all, around fifteen other offenses linked touse of narcotics and to the driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs were noted during this operation.
