Driver Carlos Sainz received his luxurious Ferrari after leaving the Italian team

Auto – On December 8, the Spanish driver competed in his very last GP for Scuderia Ferrari. Eleven days later, in Monaco, he took delivery of this beautiful toy.

Carlos Sainz Jr, driver by trade, and incidentally son of a rally legend, was one of the members of Scuderia Ferrari for four years. But the brand announced at the end of 2023 that its contract would not be renewed, preferring to offer its second wheel to the already legendary Lewis Hamilton. Receiving this fabulous Ferrari Daytona SP3 a few days after leaving the Scuderia must therefore have a bittersweet taste for Carlos Sainz Jr, but we can imagine that the kilometers spent behind the wheel of the car will quickly allow the sweet part to take over.

Not a gift

To put the church back in the middle of the village, let us point out that it is unlikely that this Daytona SP3, produced in 599 units, each priced at more than €2 million, is a gift from Ferrari to Sainz. It is assumed that the Spaniard had ordered the car when it was presented in 2022 or 2023. The car is in any case a “custom” model, on which its number 55 discreetly appears, and especially the words “Smooth Operator” on the the console and on the engine.
