MotoGP will innovate next year by organizing a collective presentation for the first time. This event, scheduled for February 9 in Bangkok, between the two rounds of official pre-season tests, should bring together all 11 teams in the field and kick off the 2025 season in a new format.
However, this will not prevent teams and manufacturers who wish to hold their own in-house event. This will be the case for Ducati, which will maintain its traditional meeting at the start of the year in the ski resort of Madonna di Campiglio, in the heart of the Italian massif of the Brenta Dolomites.
The Borgo Panigale brand has revealed the date on which Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Márquez will be reunited on stage to lift the veil on their 2025 motorcycle: the appointment is set for Monday January 20, with the usual Campioni in pista event (the “champions on the track”). It will be followed from 11 a.m. live on YouTube and Motorsport.com.
It is generally customary that the Desmosedici presented on stage is mainly of interest for its livery, while its entire new technical package remains subject to confidentiality and developments with a view to future tests. It is nevertheless an opportunity to look back on the achievements of 2024 and to announce the sporting objectives of the Ducati programs for the coming season.
The new pair formed by Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Márquez heralds very high expectations in view of the next championship, with between them eight world champion titles in the premier category and personal objectives echoing that of their team, namely reconnecting with the title.
They will represent the MotoGP side of the Ducati program, but will not be alone on stage. In WorldSBK, the manufacturer maintains its confidence in Álvaro Bautista and Nicolò Bulega, while in motocross, the team is preparing to attack the MXGP with two new riders, Jeremy Seewer and Mattia Guadagnini.
