Flavio Briatore gives himself three years to win Alpine

The Italian manager believes it will take him three years to implement the strategy that should make Alpine a winning team.

Back at Enstone as executive advisor, Flavio Briatore sees things big for Alpine in Formula 1. In Abu Dhabi, the French team won its duel with Haas for sixth place in the constructors' championship, thanks in particular to the performance by Pierre Gasly.

A positive note to conclude the season, which gives ideas to the Italian businessman. Alpine was often mocked in her later years, when she set goals over time, only to fail to achieve them. Flavio Briatore, however, swears that the team will win before long.

Three years to win

“This is the result everyone wanted, and I really want to congratulate everyone. Especially at the factory, because they work a lot. It's team spirit, that's what I want, the engineers, the aerodynamicists did a great job, he confides in a video clip published by Alpine on its social networks. I promised Luca de Meo to put together a winning team within three years. »

To do this, he is also counting on the performances of Gasly, who impressed during the last rounds of the season. The Frenchman notably distinguished himself with a podium in Brazil, as well as a fifth place in Qatar, before scoring a new top 10 on the Yas Marina circuit.

“Alpine became very strong at the end of the season,
he continues. Pierre did an incredible job. And also Jack Doohan today, it wasn't too bad for a first race, it was good. We have to stay strong together, have a few more experienced people in the team. But I like this team. »

Briatore's priorities

Flavio Briatore then highlights the areas in which Alpine has progressed this year, before defining the French brand's priorities for the 2025 Formula 1 season.

“The racing team is completely changing. For pit stops we are now competitive. Now we have a real racing team. This is what I want. Before we produced a car, now we produce a fast car. And with Pierre, I really discovered a great driver” concludes Briatore.
