Biathlon | Émilien Jacquelin's 100% fishy finish

In the world of sport, finishes are among the most stressful moments. But fortunately with Émilien Jacquelin, the latter was keen to take this weight off us even before the final sprint.

Émilien Jacquelin honors French biathlon

Just a few hours after Lou Jeanmonnot's victory, the men's pursuit began in Hochfilzen. If the Norwegians take all the first places after the sprint the day before, only Fabien Claude wants to spoil the party for the Scandinavians. But from the first prone shot, the Frenchman made two errors, the same for Eric Perrot. There is now only Émilien Jacquelin to increase the tension. The Frenchman is fast on skis, and reliable behind the rifle. He even took advantage of leader Johannes Boe's penalty lap to get back to the lead of the race, accompanied by Sturla Laegreid. A trio that holds together and never lets go; the three each made an error on the last shot, giving us an unbreathable three-way finish.

Jacquelin, Boe and Laegreid size each other up, like cyclists who have made the gap with the peloton on the roads of the Tour de . As expected, the Frenchman places a monumental attack on the Hochfilzen wall, but fortunately that devil Johannes Boe is on par with him. Then arriving at the top of the climb, Jacquelin gives us THE joke of the weekend, without a doubt. The Frenchman stumbles in the Austrian snow, and lets Johannes Boe slip away to victory. If a picture is worth a thousand words, this one is worth millions.

How can we further delight the tricolor loser lovers that we are by offering us such bad luck at this moment of the race? Impossible if you want our opinion. Unfortunately, Émilien Jacquelin beats Sturla Laegreid at the finish and takes second place. But this one has a flavor of victory for us all the same.

But Emilien is a great lord, and he still takes the time to translate his interview into English for Johannes Boe. Good loser. Nothing describes us better.
