Nico Hülkenberg once again qualified in the top 10, very good consistency for the Haas F1 driver, who however proved disappointed with his SQ3. On the other hand, he is pleased to be in the same rhythm as Liam Lawson and Pierre Gasly, who will play the points for RB F1 and Alpine.
“It was a good, clean qualifying. We may have to re-watch QS3 because we had a different race profile to everyone else, so we may have to figure that out” Hulkenberg said.
“Otherwise it was a solid session and again very close to Alpine and RB, we are all close and it's overall a compact peloton. It's a very fast track, there's a lot of grip on this tarmac, and it's certainly physical and demanding.”
“The Sprint is difficult for everyone in the midfield to score points because there are not the usual top 10 places, so we will see, a lot of things can happen and you have to stay in the game. He You have to stay in the game. Everything remains to play for.”
Kevin Magnussen failed to improve his last lap in SQ2 and he will start 15th at the start of the Sprint: “The car was pretty good. I was put under pressure by traffic on my outside lap and ended up starting my lap just behind Nico, which wasn't ideal.”
“But the car was good and we have a good chance tomorrow. We'll see how we get on, obviously it's a Sprint with no pit stops, so we'll have to overtake on track.”
