Formula 1 | Lawson wants to 'score points' to help RB to championship

Liam Lawson had a tough weekend in Las Vegas, and the RB driver explains that it was difficult to find the limit throughout the weekend, as the circuit was very difficult to approach and understand.

“On a unique circuit like this, you experience something you've never experienced anywhere else. You have to be at the limit in every session, and the mistake I made in qualifying put me in difficulty in the race” Lawson said.

Asked about the objectives that Red Bull sets for him, the New Zealander is clear: “The clear target is sixth place in the constructors' championship, for me that means scoring points and that's what I'm focusing on. But those are the expectations of the board.”

Happy to be able to turn the page on Vegas, Lawson hopes for progress in Qatar: “We had difficulties here last year, it was not a good circuit for us but the car has changed a lot and the conditions will be very different, so we will have to adapt a little, but we are in a good situation , the car is in a good window.”

“When you have a bad race and then a long break, it's not great because you focus on that. We'll move on, I'll debrief after the season because I know what I need to improve, and Being able to focus on another race is a good thing.”
