Formula 1 | Vettel returns to school to major in agriculture

Linked several times this year to a possible return to Formula 1 or , Sebastian Vettel has finally decided to return to school!

While Max Verstappen also became a four-time world champion this weekend in Las Vegas, the retired Vettel was present at an awards ceremony in Braunschweig, Germany, where he was asked what his next steps in life would be .

"I actually go to school," smiled the German.

“I’m doing an apprenticeship in agriculture.”

Asked if he would be a fully qualified farmer at the end of his training, Vettel replied: “Not quite. It's basically a condensed form of that. After that, I can run my own business.”

“This area fascinates me,” added the former Ferrari and Aston Martin driver, who lives with his wife and young family on a farm in Switzerland.

It is well known that Vettel is interested in nature, sustainability and the environment.

“I find it extremely exciting when it comes to the future of agriculture. I no longer train full time but I keep fit, just in case… With my three children, I have already enough to do. But my life is much calmer than before. I don't travel as much anymore.”

He is also more interested in politics, indicating that he supports Green Party candidate Robert Habeck in the early federal election in early 2025.

“I think he has a very healthy worldview. He is trying to improve Germany and is really motivated to do it. As always, when you try to do everything right or improve everything, you don't get there. doesn't always succeed. I think it's human. But I think we should look to the future.”

As for his opinion on US President-elect Donald Trump, Vettel admitted: “I think he’s a bad person.”

And what about motorsport?

“I will not return to Formula 1,” admits the winner of 53 Grands Prix.

“But Le Mans could be an option.”
