The F1 film poses a problem for a team

Announced a little earlier this year, the F1 film directed by Jospeh Kosinski will be released on June 25, 2025 in all cinemas. According to the latest statements from co-producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, Red Bull complained about having the role of the villain in the film. Indeed, Mercedes was heavily involved in the realism of the filming.

Thanks to Lewis Hamilton and the help of the German manufacturer, the eleventh fictional team “APXGP” was designed by the German manufacturer. These single-seaters are F2 disguised as F1, with many sponsors from the Brackley team on the bodywork. Naturally, all of this raises concerns. In view of the recent altercations between the two brands, the Austrian clan fears that the situation will push them to become antagonists.

What role for Red Bull?

During an interview between the future ex-CEO of Liberty Media, Greg Maffei and the co-producer of the film, they spoke about fears and expectations regarding the film.

“What's interesting is that when we partnered with Mercedes, the other teams said 'wait a second, this movie is going to be about Mercedes and it's going to make us look bad'.
