After a few drinks, the evening would have degenerated. According to information from Olympic Midday et Bleu Pays d’Auvergne, a complaint was filed by a waitress at a bar in downtown Clermont-Ferrand against Fritz Lee. The 36-year-old third line, under the influence of alcohol, would have been violent, a video recording the facts would attest to the victim's words.

For its part, the Auvergne club indicates, in a press release sent to the two media mentioned above, that it has already sanctioned its player: “Quickly informed of the excesses of a player during a private evening organized a few weeks ago, ASM Clermont Auvergne deplores the facts which in no way correspond with the values ​​of the club. Faced with such actions, the club in no way condones the behavior of certain of its employees, whose exemplary behavior on and off the field is a fundamental and non-negotiable notion. Thus, the player concerned was sanctioned. The club will henceforth refrain from any comments or reactions regarding these facts. No further details on the sanction imposed on the Clermont player.
