The information, revealed by Sud Ouest, will not help improve the already tarnished reputation of Rugby in recent months. Two players from US Dax, which plays in Pro D2, engaged in inappropriate behavior last Saturday, the day after USD's victory against Nice.
Jope Naseara and Ratu Nacika, both of Fijian nationality, toured the city's bars before, heavily intoxicated, becoming perpetrators of excesses. Two separate investigations were opened by the Dax public prosecutor. One for “violence committed under the influence of alcohol” concerning a first player; the other for facts “sexual assault”concerning the second player. Heard this morning at the Dax police station, the two players were placed in police custody.
The Club reacted as soon as it was informed in order to help the rapid manifestation of the truth for the respect and support of the victims.
