Formula 1 | Haas : An attacking race and eight points up for grabs in Mexico

Kevin Magnussen finished a strong seventh for Haas at the Mexican Grand Prix. The Danish driver is happy to sign his best result since 2022 and appreciated feeling confident to attack relentlessly during the race.

“I'm relieved. These weekends, when you manage to put everything together, it's a great feeling. I was able to attack during the race, attack very hard on the tires, and everything worked well” declared Magnussen, who knows that nothing is decided for sixth place.

“I don't know if we can be confident because it's very close in the peloton. If the next circuit suits the other team better, there are only a few tenths and everything can change. The car had a good balance to have grip with the tires When we put the car on track on Friday, we didn't have to change anything, it's really great.

But in the fight against RB F1, this result is very important for Haas: “It’s not always easy to score points, so scoring ten points with four races to go is still not comfortable but it’s important.”

Ninth, Nico Hülkenberg is also delighted for his team and for Magnussen: “Points, a good day for the team, a great race from Kevin, he was brilliant. He was very fast in the race so he deserves it. We take these points, and it's very positive, a very good weekend for us.”

“I'm very happy, it's very rewarding. Everyone's work has paid off, we are regular points candidates, which is good news. This is my fourth consecutive entry into the points including the Sprint from Austin, it shows our consistency.”
