World Triathlons | The French continue their humiliation

After the dark weekend of the French triathlon, and Cassandre Beaugrand’s world champion title as well as the raid by para-triathletes and juniors, we hoped to have seen everything. But obviously, they decided to unite in teams to make us dive one last time into the abyss.

The next generation of French triathlon is scary

As individuals, the Bleuets did not hesitate for a single second to give us a final race straight from hell. Indeed, Nils Serre Gehri, Candice Denizot, Jules Rethoret and Emma Lombardi were all four lined up in the U23 junior mixed relay. The first, junior world champion the day before in Torremolinos, took the opportunity to expand his trophy cabinet a little more.

Indeed, the French left their competitors no chance, and took the gold medal. This world victory comes in a weekend to forget for the FFL. Alexis Hanquinquant, Elise Marc, Ambre Grasset and of course Cassandre Beaugrand all left Spain with a gold medal around their neck. You can now add these four guys. Only Léo Bergère ensured this, finishing second both in the last race and in the World Cup rankings. Yes, we are reduced to appreciating a title of vice-world champion. This shows the muddy path that the triathlon is taking us through this year.
